Susan Hero OTR/L, has a wide range of experience with outpatient rehabilitation, school-based therapy and early intervention services.  She works with children from birth through the age of 21 with varying diagnoses (with a higher concentration in autism).  Her goal is to create a client-centered/individualized treatment plan that enables function and empowers independence across all environments.   Finding that “just right challenge” and using play-based therapy are two key elements to the treatment sessions. 

Being on the forefront of child development and contributing to skill building is exciting and beyond rewarding.  Helping a child to strengthen his/her wings to “fly” is a joyful site for all to see.   The goal of the OT Hero is to treat the whole child, empower independence and enable function.

Susan is an avid listener, problem solver and a dedicated therapist.  She combines her passion of working with children along with her prior professional experience, which makes her a well-rounded Occupational Therapist.
